According to The Guinness Book of World Records, the largest stained glass window in the world, can be found at the Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois, USA. It is over 22,000 square feet of faceted glass with 2,448 panels created by Pickel Studio It depicts stories from the Bible in clockwise order from the second to third floors.
World's Most Expensive Stained Glass Window
The Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C, known at the Washington National Cathedral is the sixth largest cathedral in the world. Built in a neo-gothic style, it has over two hundred stained glass windows, the most famous of which is the Space Window, honouring man's landing on the Moon, which contains a fragment of lunar rock at its centre donated by Apollo 11 Astronaut Michael Collins. Other windows in stained glass commemorating events include: the Lewis and Clark expedition and the raising of the American Union flag at Iwo Jima.
